This is a do it all rifle. It’s not to light to make reliable long range shots but it’s also not to heavy to carry around for normal hunting situations.  This rifle will shoot consistently good at ranges beyond 600 yards with great ammo and a talented shooter. 

 

The rifle is chambered in 300 PRC which has proven itself over the last few years to be extremely accurate, hard hitting, and dependable on game. I prefer the 300 PRC  for hunters looking for great ballistics, quality factory ammo availability, and quality brass and components for the serious hand loader. The big 30 cals have recoil! The brake installed helps but this is not a youth rifle IMO. 

 

I recommend the 300 PRC for guys who go after the largest game on a regular basis. It is true that you cannot overkill an animal. This rifle should shoot in the .3s or better at 100 yards with good ammo.
